Q. 1. Can you tell us about Current Trends in BBA, BCA and BBM (IB)
BBA/BCA/BBM(IB) are relatively new courses and are launched as a need of an hour
The new era is not only of globalization of trade and businesses but also of concept, innovative, ideas and skills development (Ready to use HR inputs to business /industries).
A frequent change in syllabus adds flavor and keep students updated with current knowledge. GCC believes effective implementation of the course is the first step towards success.
Since jobs nowadays are not confined to a specific discipline a graduate of BBA/ BCA / BBM (IB) proceeds for the post graduate. Students can add in their resume their work experience/internship offered by the GCC .
Plus there is a trend to acquire expertise in software courses which adds weight to their resume such courses are available in the College. People in IT courses go for SAP/ORACLE/JAVA related advanced courses.
Lately, there is a trend of applying to foreign universities after graduation. GCC also provide platform for international studies through the tie ups and associations with different foreign Institutes.

Our institute has a holistic approach towards education. MES institute has a legacy of more than 150 years in the education field. The aim is not only to produce graduates and post- graduate;

Q. 5. What is your view about placements after completion of the course?
Well defined placement policy helps students to pursue their dreams. College conducts placement drives for different sectors such as Manufacturing, Automobile, Service Sector like Banks & Insurance, Construction, IT etc for students. The College Placement Cell organizes intercollegiate placement fair every year where more than 300 students are offered jobs in different sectors.
Along with the annual Placement fair, Campus drives of many companies are scheduled throughout the year for the students specializing in HR, Finance and Marketing.
Along with full time jobs, students are also offered with Internships in various companies. The internships are offered for 1 to 6 months depending upon the requirements of the company. This is helpful for students who wish to gain real time experience before landing up a full time job.
To groom the students in the best way possible and to make them industry ready, Pre – Placement workshops are conducted which includes offering Soft skill training, Corporate Etiquette, Resume Writing, How to crack aptitude test, How to face Group discussions and How to face Interviews.

Q. 6. What advice you would like to offer to BBA, BCA and BBM (IB) Students?
All the students should plan their career in a defined manner. The institute conducts placement drives and annual Placement fair, in which they should actively participate. The attitude of getting placed in top organizations and a high salary at the start should not bother them.
Rather, they should take work experience from any organization and focus on skill development. The institution facilitates many programmes requiring leadership, teamwork skills, where the students should participate and enhance their skills. They should also do internship course in the summer/winter breaks to add weight to their CV.
Their prime responsibility should be to focus on academics.
Use available 3 years appropriately to acquire skill sets in such a manner that students must be of ‘Utility’ to the employers. At the same time student must be enthusiastic for further career advancement and growth.
